Admission Policy
All Nursery places are allocated in line with the Council’s admissions policy. Information detailing the Council’s policy is available from Centre.

Applying for a place
Your child’s name will be placed on the Register of Applicants within the Centre and it also logged at Education Services. Places will be allocated at the Admissions panel. If circumstances change which affect the application you must inform the Head of Centre.

Eligibility for a Nursery Place
All pre-school children are eligible for a free part-time nursery place. All 3 year old children are eligible for a free part-time nursery place however a place may not be available immediately they turn 3.

Two year old children will receive 16 hours of funded early learning if they have a parent or carer who receive one of the following qualifying benefits and can provide up to date evidence of benefits:

•Income Support
•Jobseekers Allowance (income based)
•Employment and Support Allowance (income based)
•Incapacity or Severe Disablement Allowance
•State Pension Credit

Applications for Admissions                                                                                                                  To apply for a nursery place, you should complete a nursery application form, around the time your child turns two years old or before 31st January 2016. The nursery application form is available from any Inverclyde Council nursery school/class or partner establishment and on Inverclyde Council Website.
